Tree guilds
A tree guild is a set of helpers around a fruit tree. Beneficial shrubs or herbs, that ideally make an independant guild together.
Functions of the beneficial plants around a fruit tree can be
- Nitrogen fixers
- Nutrient accumulators
- Forage for pollinators
- Insectaries
- Pest control
- Biomass for soil building
